Multimodal transport is a mode in which goods are transported by at least two different modes of transport. With the development of trade and transportation technology, the traditional monomodal transportation methods such as sea, railway and air can no longer keep up. Based on the development of container transportation and road-rail combined transportation, a new type of transportation has emerged, that is, multimodal transport.
GK has launched an all-round in-depth strategic cooperation with the road-rail logistics giant China Railway Multimodal Transport (CRMT). CRMT and GK will jointly create a logistics operation and maintenance solution provider based on multimodal transport focusing on steel mills and ports. In China, the JV will use the unified brand of "China Railway Freight" for operation and maintenance for road-rail combined transportation scenarios, mine scenarios, seaport scenarios, construction, and other scenarios, and create an integrated platform for road, rail, sea and air, using smart platforms for management support.
